Guys vs. Girls Points Challenge
This is a great thing to do during the summer time. It builds teamwork, gives young adults additional reason to come, and add a fun competitive aspect to your program. Here are the specifics:
1. Split the group up into a group of young men and a group of young
women.
2. Make a poster for each group listing the members of each group and allow plenty of space to track points for each individual.
3. Come up with a list of actions that can a person can earn points
for doing. Actions include coming on time, bringing a bible,
bringing a visitor, memorizing scripture, bringing items for food bank,
or anything else that can come up with. Certain items should be worth more points then others.
4. Keep up with the points for the entire summer. Have prize for the
guy and the girl who end up with the most individual points.
5. Total up the guys and girls complete total scores.
6. Have a points finale fellowship. The teams will start the finale
with the points that they accumulated during the summer. Create games for the teams to play. Make sure that all members participate. Games can include races, trivia contests, puzzle competition, or quick card games among other things. At the end of the night, the team with the most points wins. You can do a team prize as well as an MVP.
